The best first season of any Star Trek series. Fresh inclusive characters, engaging stories, and incredible production values and visual effects. Grateful to have trek back and happy to support it.

Infinite Diversity in Infinite Combinations - Spock of Vulcan Though leery at first, I quickly became a fan of this incredible series. I see that the haters found their way to iTunes. This is unfortunate because the STORYTELLING, the CHARACTERS and the PLOT are simply fantastic. Thank you iTunes for making this available and allowing everyone to purchase and make THEIR OWN decisions rather than relying on narrow minded individuals who believe it is either THEIR WAY or the HIGHWAY. These are the people who claim to be fans but consistently prove, through their words, that they don't undestand the basic beliefs behind Star Trek in the first place. Reminds of the people who hated the ORIGINAL PILOT and hated the ORIGINAL SERIES and hated TNG and hated DS9 and hated VOYAGER and ultimately caused the end of ENTERPRISE. FIVE STARS TO THIS TV SERIES. LOOKING FORWARD TO SEASON TWO!

this is supposed to be before Kirks time, the ship looks post Nenisis. they pull another never heard of sibling off Spock out of nowhere, and the Klingons look like purple fish people. CBS needs to hire some people that know Trek

This is so bad the dialog is trite, making the Klingons as thugs and "Michael" should have be locked up and the key thrown away. Please do not waste a moment of time or dime on this terrible show. Too bad it could have been so great as the Enterprise and Original series really is.
  • Don't Bother - this isn't Star Trek

This series is a real mess. Terrible leads who can't act (especially Sarek and Burnham). A writing and production staff who truly don't care about the continuity and canon of the Trek universe (even the JJ movies found a truly Trek way of working into established canon - unlike the writers and producers of Discovery who clearly don't care). A music score that is incredibly dull and boring (there's not really a theme). While the title says it's Star Trek, it really isn't. And don't get me started on the ridiculous spore drive jumping and cheesy effects that go with it. If you are a long time Trek fan who hasn't seen this, consider yourself lucky!
  • Very Good - Cant wait for season 2

Please ignore all of the people who rate 1 star, and then proceed to say they only watched to episode 2. This star trek series is very good, great storyline, and engaging.
  • Pathetic Attempt to Create a New Star Trek Series

Ho Hum, I was so excited to see this and my neighbor purchased this season on iTunes and he invited me and others in the hood to watch the first episode. Talk about a waste of money and I feel sorry for my neighbor for wasting good money on this trash. Not one of us cared for it. I do not understand how TV networks come up with stuff like this like it is so great while at the same time cancelling shows that the viewers actually like.
  • I've been looking forward too this.

I’ve been looking forward to the next star trek and it started off great. Most movies with another group of people that don’t speak English speak their language long enough for the audience to understand they don’t. If I wanted to read the book, I would have purchased it, now I’ve purchased the show and so far, it’s the worst ever Star Trek. Maybe you should talk to J.J Abrams and get a few tips on making a great Star Trek T. V. show.
  • Not really Star Trek

The show runners have liberally stolen from everyone. From Battlestar Galactica, from Star Wars, from Red Dwarf, and even Dark Matter they've grabbed plot devices, motivations and even plot points. What it isn't is Star Trek.
