  • 90% social commentary and 10% science

    By Live Barncats
The all new show has altered the focus away from mechanical aptitude and towards past/current American social issues, this suggests the Show is going the way of Class. The scripts have Dr Who using her ‘sonic’ as a magic wand while fixing various American social Issues and muttering about. The scripts for the old male character have him plodding through scripts with the tech knowledge of the educationally deprived. -
  • Good Stories Good Doctor but...

The new Doctors accent is way to thick and much more difficult for me to decipher than any other role I have seen her in. In fact I did not ever have an issues understanding her before this. Also Apple seriously needs to address the political trolls posting biased reviews.

All of the political views that have come to the show have honestly made it almost unwatchable if the prior seasons didn’t attach me to the show so much I would click off and go watch Barney rather than this politically driven madness
  • New series, new face(s)

Been watching Doctor Who for the past 4 years (and caught up with many of the previous seasons after the reboot). I have been looking forward to this new Doctor, and I must say, overall good job Team Tardis, Fam or whichever name you settle on. The weaker episodes had issues with the pacing ("Ghost Monument" for example) or were an imbalanced mashup of ideas/genres/messages (umm, "Witchfinders"). Given the number of friends that are travelling with the Doctor, not everyone had something meaningful to do in each episode. But this was more than set off by episodes like "Kerblam" or "It takes you away" which hit all the right buttons in terms of scare factor, emotional punches or bizzare plot twists, along with a handful of very funny moments (e.g. Yaz's mum enquiring about her daughter's relationship with the Doctor in "Arachnids in the UK"). Just one thing, don't make the Doctor too perfect, i.e. lose all her edge... She may have overcome one of her biggest traumas in "The Day of the Doctor", but I'm sure there are many more things that weigh heavily on her mind / conscience. Hope, we will explore this side of hers a bit more in Season 12.
  • Well that could have been better

with the final having come and gone, I can easily say this was the worst season ever. I know it was going to be bad from the very start with the way they closed the season 10 cliff hanger. She basically crashes through the ground and into a moving train going through a tunnel. She is a very smart alien with two hearts, not a super hero. Throw in non stop in your face PC agenda writing and you have this whole season already figured out.
  • Joining the politial hysteria

I've been a fan for decades, went to Cardiff etc. and do like Jodie, but this season falls for cheap political shots and displays shameful ignorance of US history (perhaps the writers need to read about Claudette Colvin). Waiting for the current producers/writers to leave the show to watch Dr. Who again. Hope it happens soon.
  • It’s not the cast. It’s the writing...

    By GreekGuy81684
The stories set up nicely but quickly take a nose dive with plot twists are often absurd and climaxes that fall flat. I’m not talking about usual Dr. Who delightful absurd, but instead the plain, painful, stupid kind. The writing on the wall is that these writers are sorely lacking. The 13th & first female Doctor does not deserve a debut such as this...
  • Great season!

Love the new doctor! Also love: the companions dialog and stories!
  • Terrible production values

    By Ron Reed
I liked a few of the early episodes for this season but some of the recent ones have been such unbelievably B-grade, low-budget, poor script quality disasters that I can't help but think that this show is spiraling towards cancellation. So bad, so disappointing. Some real stinkers - wait till you see the 'King John' episode: wow, so awful. If you thought that Moffat was tanking out hard and needed to be replaced, I fear that new showrunner Chibnall is simply incompetent. While the actress now playing the Doctor seems neither particularly great nor terrible, the scripts have been godawful. What an embarassment and a sad way to treat this beloved program.
  • Don’t listen to 1star misogynists

People are hating on this season simply because Dr Who is a woman, they don’t leave any actual reason why the dislike it... This season is great. the Lead Actress is quirky and sharp, just as good as the rest of them. And I think I like the new companion characters (Whittaker’s) just as much as I loved Smith’s. Graham is my new favorite. The only complaint is they need to tie in some of the main villain factions soon (Darleks/Cybermen/The Master). But this season is awesome
