There are plenty of flaws to this new cast and stop when season 5 ends[ consider Strikeback Origins as season one. What were they thinking in trying to re-amp the series and turn it into the A team meets PC.. Bad acting and do your new heroes managed to stay clean during a firefight. And stumble around the battlefield. For a minute I thought it was major US Network tv program. Season Six is definitely a game changer from bad to worse.
  • Awful. PC Propaganda. Ratings down 75%.

Massive fan of the original series. This is not SB. It's an execrable, politically correct rehash, a particularly strong dose of stereotypes – "girl power", "butch lesbians", "token black boss lady", and "gay IT guy", with little positive to recommend it. It's a visually slick propaganda vehicle. One villain in particular is defined by being anti-globalization / anti-PC, a Hungarian nationalist with an icky thing for sis aka "evil Nazi white supremacist inbreed". Obvious jab at today's Eastern Europe. Fortunately Captain PC, our new and improved SAS operative, is there to disabuse him of his racist, backward beliefs and lecture him on the benefits of diversity, all while deploying his own man points aka "toxic masculinity" to shame weak little Magyar man. It's an attack on maleness and on nationalism, and a brazen insult pitched right at Strike Back's erstwhile young, male, and likely patriotic audience. The very existence of the old SB – the ultimate "bro show", replete with sex, explosions, etc. – was obviously offensive. The only choice for SJW Hollywood then, was to do a giant **** all over it to set Strike Back's neanderthal audience straight. Enlightened hipster women never watched Strike Back and never will. Now nobody else will either. 18-49 Demographic ratings fell 3/4 from .09 in season 5 to .02 season 6. Overall audience fell 2/3 from 286k S05E10 to 95k S06E10.
  • Plenty of action.

You’ll have to be able to overlook glaring problems in the script though.
