In the action-comedy The Interview, Dave Skylark (James Franco) and his producer Aaron Rapoport (Seth Rogen) run the popular celebrity tabloid TV show 'Skylark Tonight.' When they discover that North Korean leader Kim Jong-un is a fan of the show, they land an interview with him in an attempt to legitimize themselves as journalists. As Dave and Aaron prepare to travel to Pyongyang, their plans change when the CIA recruits them, perhaps the most unlikely candidates, to 'take out' Kim Jong-un.

I can’t believe this made my recommendation list. There was nothing redeeming about this movie.
  • GOD

Has all the elements but doesn't gel.
  • GROSS.

Seth loves gross out sex jokes and Franco is a disgusting pervert. After seeing this I seriously REFUSE to watch anything with Franco in it ever again.
  • Hated It

Honestly I watched this movie and "hated it". I thought it was supposed to be funny... it wasn't. Total waste of money and time. My advise... hard pass.
  • True to Real Life

I just wish Rodman was in it.
  • The controversy surrounding this film only magnified its awesomeness

From the same people who brought you Sausage Party comes a semi-political statement flick that not only entertains but fulfills every American citizen's fantasy by showing a film where Kim Jong-un bites the dust violently. Seth Rogan's release of this movie nearly started a war between North Korea and the USA, but this only makes the movie better and waaayyy more hilarious. Now that we are in a time of even tenser times and relations with North Korea, I believe this movie is more relevant than when it was released. I think this is a movie that Donald Trump desperately needs to watch and learn how to deal with his North Korean problem. And I think that Katy Perry's "Firework" was most appropriate a song for the Supreme Leader's violent, explosive, supreme death. Rating - 100/10!

I thought it was really funny and well done. I don't know why the reviews are so low. One of the best comedies I have seen in years.
  • Very Fun; Great Political Satire

All those stuffy, stoggy reviews are off point. This is a comedy spoofing The Supreme Leader of North Korea, who needs to be spoofed. I absolutely recommend this movie; it's great! You'll laugh all the way through the film!
