From Marvel, the studio that brought you the global blockbuster franchises of Iron Man, Thor, Captain America and The Avengers, comes a new team—the Guardians of the Galaxy. An action-packed, epic space adventure, Marvel’s “Guardians of the Galaxy” expands the Marvel Cinematic Universe into the cosmos, where brash adventurer Peter Quill finds himself the object of an unrelenting bounty hunt after stealing a mysterious orb coveted by Ronan, a powerful villain with ambitions that threaten the entire universe. To evade the ever-persistent Ronan, Quill is forced into an uneasy truce with a quartet of disparate misfits—Rocket, a gun-toting raccoon, Groot, a tree-like humanoid, the deadly and enigmatic Gamora and the revenge-driven Drax the Destroyer. But when Quill discovers the true power of the orb and the menace it poses to the cosmos, he must do his best to rally his ragtag rivals for a last, desperate stand—with the galaxy’s fate in the balance.

This movie is fantastic. I was laughing throughout the movie at all the characters. The action is really good and the score and soundtrack is awesome
  • Decent, but that’s about it

First off, let me start by saying that I’m a huge fan of the Marvel movies; I’ve seen most of them. I know I’m quite late on seeing this, but I decided to knock it out now in preparation for Avengers 3. There was so much hype around this movie and I found it... just okay. I never really felt like I became invested in the universe or any of the characters, and the action was pretty average for the most part. The friendships between the characters felt kind of forced, and the comedy was alright. Overall, I didn’t think the movie was BAD, but I’m not tripping over myself to go see Vol. 2. Although I will watch it, of course, so I’m not lost when Infinity War drops in a month and a half and the Guardians show up.

I just watched it for the first time. (I'm late, I know) This movie is hilarious, sad, and just perfect! Star-Lord dancing is now my favorite thing ever! Perfect movie and easily my new favorite!
  • Not too good, not to bad

Before I saw Guardians of the Galaxy, I thought I was absolutely going to love it. I love science fiction movies and this looked great, not to mention all the positive reviews it received. Upon seeing it though, I thought it was just “okay”. The parts it did well like the comedy and characters were great, but the parts it did wrong were no so good. The plot was too confusing, the story was surprisingly too simple, and the villains were so bland. I don’t even remember any of the villains names! It also didn’t help that, when I first saw it, I couldn’t hear a thing and the screen was dark. But still. Can’t say I didn’t enjoy it, but can’t say I loved it either.

Comedy is subjective of course, but how anyone with more than a pea-sized brain got a laugh out of this noisy mess is beyond me. Critics and masses frighten me now.
