Description

An action-packed suspense-thriller starring Academy Award® nominee Saoirse Ronan (Atonement, The Lovely Bones), Hanna is “an exuberant chase thriller that pulses with energy!” (Justin Chang, Variety). Raised by her father (Eric Bana), an ex-CIA agent, in the wilds of Finland, Hanna’s upbringing and training have been one and the same, all geared to making her the perfect assassin. The turning point in her adolescence is a sharp one. Sent into the world by her father on a mission, Hanna journeys stealthily across Europe, eluding agents dispatched after her by a ruthless intelligence operative with secrets of her own (Academy Award® winner Cate Blanchett). As she nears her ultimate target, Hanna faces startling revelations about her existence, in a movie critics are calling “exhilarating, audacious and boldly original!” (Karen Durbin, Elle)

I absolutely love the little actress Hanna: Saoirse Ronan. She is amazing! I always watch this movie every time I remember it, and now, I decided to buy it, instead of streaming or renting it. I was looking forward to ‘Hanna 2’ but it never happened 🙁 I will still rewatch this classic monthly now💕
  • Lots of running around with little payoff

Stuff happens, then it's over. Throughout the film I kept expecting more. The resolution is obvious from the moment the villain is introduced and when it's done, so what? This is a waste of money. There's a reason why it tanked at the box office. When it's done one wonders why this merited 90 minutes of your time.
  • Unrealistic & pointless

Parts of this movie are done well like the music and noises being woven into the action on the screen. Most of this movie, however is just pointless. It felt like continuous action scenes broken up by drama that went nowhere. The girl lives but everyone else dies. Was there something redeaming in there I missed? I doubt it and am glad I rented it

This movie had so much potential. First 20 min was amazing, but the overarching plot built to house everything was absolutely terrible. There was one good fight later in a train station but that's about it.
  • Forgettable and below average for a thriller

I remember seeing this because of positive reviews and I just didn't find anything really memorable. The story isn't particularly compelling or believable for that matter. Sorry to sound that way but this movie is just mediocre, very middle of the road. Not terrible but I certainly wouldn't recommend it.

Terrible movie. In fact, completing the movie borders on a sadistic challenge. First of all, the action sequences were so boring and poorly filmed that it took me out of the experience completely. Also, there were so many plot holes. I want to forget the movie as soon as possible. The soundtrack was distracting and reminiscent of an 80s first person shooter. I could go on and on, but to sum it up, the movie was a waste of time. If you want to watch a good “assassin on the run” type movie, just stick to the Jason Bourne films. We bought the movie DO NOT BUY OR RENT THIS IT IS TRASH!

This is a waste of time. It rambles and rambles some more. The whole thing felt like forced drama and someone shallow's idea of deep meaning. At 1 hr 20 minutes I still had no idea where this movie was headed nor why I should care. So I turned it off. Terrible. Also... If I ever gut an animal the way she does, I'll expect someone to punch me in the junk. It's not a taun-taun!
