Description

From visionary filmmakers Tim Burton (The Nightmare Before Christmas) and Timur Bekmambetov (Wanted) and Academy Award-nominated director Shane Acker comes this visually stunning and original epic adventure. In the final days of humanity, a dedicated scientist gives the spark of life to nine of his creations. The world has turned into an unrecognizable landscape of machines and spare parts, but this group of nine finds that if they band together, their small community might just be able to change the course of history. Featuring the voice talents of Elijah Wood, John C. Reilly, Jennifer Connelly and Crispin Glover, it’s a thrilling, suspenseful story critics call "richly imaginative." (Peter Travers, Rolling Stone)

Ok, so I first heard about this movie from a YouTuber who reviewed it and gave it a 6/10- the animation looked gorgeous to me and I though to myself, "the film can't be THAT bad, can it?" After seeing this movie, I realized that this is an AMAZING movie :-) I love the story, I love the characters (especially 9, 7, 5, 3 &4 😁), and while I can certainly see why people might not like it very much, the issues some people have with the film aren't that big for me and I just really loved this film :-3 I would HIGHLY recommend it for those who like post-apocalyptic movies and for those who won't be too scared of the robots in this film :-) for me, I give it a 9.5/10 and an A- ^w^

I have no idea why, but for some reason, when 6's drawing disintegrates in his hands I get really depressed bc he's like a little babee and so sweet and innocent and that wasn't really a spoiler so. Overall, I loved the movie. Despite the fact that it was shorter than you want it to be and the ending was a bit disappointing. But even so, it was one of those endings that you know has to happen the way that it did

Despite the dramatic elements and deaths in this film, 9 is the greatest film ever created. The monsters in this are "the cheese" and I learned that from Randy Cunningham. The characters are voiced by good actors and the writing is not bad. It is sad to hear that they won't make a video game based on this.

This movie was great and filled with action but I would say at some parts the plot just didn't make much sense but besides that the movie had really good action and it is kind of a dark movie when you think about it because the whole world had died but if not great movie Burton Plz Make another movie like this one
  • Not "Kids and Family"

In its ineffable wisdom, iTunes has chosenn to label this as a film for "Kids and Family." While I might let an older child watch this, it's very much an adult film, unless you think Armageddon, a spoul eating robot, and the death of all earthly lifeare themes suitable for children. That said, this adult theme ultimately unveils itself as a film about hope, if not what we might most often think of as redemption. Shane Acker has created an extraordinary animated feature. I look forward to seeing more of his work. My typical rating on iTunes and Amazon hover around 3 stars. I don't give out 5 often - the last was for a recent production of Shakespeare’s Richard II (The Hollow Crown adaptation), so you can understand I look for more than flashy animation.
