In this holiday comedy, Academy Award and Golden Globe-winner Reese Witherspoon ("Walk the Line," "Legally Blonde") stars with Vince Vaughn ("Wedding Crashers," "The Break-Up") as an upscale, happily unmarried San Francisco couple, Kate and Brad, who find themselves socked in by fog on Christmas morning and as a result, their exotic vacation plans morphed into the family-centric holiday they had, until now, gleefully avoided. Out of obligation an unable to escape they trudge to not one, not two, but four relative-choked festivities, increasingly mortified to find childhood fears raised, adolescent wounds reopened…and their very future together uncertain. As Brad counts the hours to when he can get away from their parents, step-parents, siblings and an assortment of nieces and nephews, Kate is starting to hear the ticking of a different kind of clock. And by the end of the day, she is beginning to wonder if their crazy families choices are not so crazy after all.

  • One of my Must Watch Every Christmas Movies!

I absolutely love this movie! I empathize with the emotions the characters experience during each of their 4 Christmas’s and it makes me laugh so hard my stomach hurts and my cheeks are sore! Absolutely hilarious! Maybe the people who don’t like this movie have perfect families and had perfect childhoods? I identified with the dysfunction of these families and cringed when the characters did and squirmed when other things brought back memories. It’s light hearted enough that you feel the feelings, and laugh out loud as a light shines on those dysfunctions! Such a great holiday movie for those who can relate to crazy families!

  • Not in the Christmas spirit and totally selfish

Very disappointed in this movie after all that they went through to be with their families even thought they didn't want to, they learned nothing and in the end hid the fact entirely from them again that they were having a baby. Has no family values and I hope that my kids never treat me as horrible as these characters treat their family.
  • Boring

It shows a relatable tale of modern families with all their dysfunctional charm. A couple trying to maneuver their way through christmas gets a life lesson that you cannot choose your family. At the end of the day family is family. They learned more about each other and what they were really running away from in life. Great movie and not the cookie cutter Christmas movie that isn't all sugar plums and lollipops.
