Anything meaningful from amazing source material is lost in return for a failed CGI gimmick. Tom Hanks deserves a star though.
  • Why $15⁉️⁉️

The only reason 1 Star is because of the price. Come on iTunes. If it was $7.99 I will purchase. I absolutely love this movie & needs to be more affordable. Not $15‼️. I’d buy in a heartbeat if it were less than $8. iTunes needs to do better on this.

It's childish, but not in the fun sense. It's nonsense with creepily rendered charecters that look souless and eery. The whole movie reminds me of one of those creepy doll movies just minus the killing spree.
  • Completely Devoid Of Any Warmth, Joy, Charm

Without a doubt, The Polar Express is one of the worst holiday movies ever made. The CGI technology used seems completely wasted with the decision to make all the characters as hyper realistic as possible, making one question why they didn’t just make it a live action film to begin with. And don’t forget the Dark, sterile and cold overall feel of the characters and scenery. This is a Christmas movie completely devoid of any warmth, joy, or charm. The director and producers really missed the mark on this one.

I’ve worked with children for quite a while and this is NOT a popular movie among them. They often choose other lighter more animated movies as their movie of choice. I can say that I was not thoroughly impressed and would certain I would not watch it again. I think this movie is more for grown ups than children.
