A battle of gigantic proportions is looming in the neon underground of New York City. The armies of the night number 100,000; they outnumber the police 5 to 1; and tonight they're after the Warriors—a street gang blamed unfairly for a rival gang leader's death. This contemporary action-adventure story takes place at night, underground, in the sub-culture of gang warfare that rages from Coney Island to Manhattan to the Bronx. Members of the Warriors fight for their lives, seek to survive in the urban jungle and learn the meaning of loyalty. This intense and stylized film is a dazzling achievement for cinematographer Andrew Laszlo.

What a classic! Kind of cheesy in the beginning but man I love it! The game for ps2 is great as well. I most definitely recommend you both the movie and the game. You're going to love them both! Guaranteed!

  • Director's Cut

when i watched the movie, i thought it was gonna be awesome. After that, i thought it was ok. Before, i thought the comic panels were alright, the acting was ok, and thought it was pretty good. Now, after listening to what other people are saying about the director's cut, i felt like an idiot buying the director's cut. I didn't see director's cut when i looked at the cover (i'm not sure it says it on there, but it might be), and i thought it was the original version, just with some few changes that couldn't possibly ruin the movie experience for me. But, now that i saw the the reviews on how it removed some of the scenes, it felt like a rip off. WTH. Today, i still can't get that freaking movie out of my head (only in anger for the director's cut). this movie killed my movie experience a lot more than MAD MAX, and even the video game, Far Cry 3 (only comparing it to story and characters). I felt like i want to smash the blu-ray disc into a million pieces and light it on fire, for ruining the "Warriors" experience, that was so looking forward to and hopefully get in depth to, because of my idiocy and actions of buying that version of the movie. Probably soon after i find the original version and buy it, i would throw that director's cut disc in the trash, and hope i never remember a god forsaken thing about the director's BAD CHOICES IN EDITING THE BEST MOVIE IN CINEMA HISTORY.
