Trapped in a mysterious boarding school, 16-year-old Vivien and Sophia embark on a dangerous search to uncover the horrifying truth behind their imprisonment. Soon running for their lives, the girls must save themselves or die trying. Featuring striking imagery and charismatic performances, this critically acclaimed, dystopian sci-fi thriller is an intense and furiously cerebral experience like no other.

  • a bit thin...

Rest assured, the film is definitely better than the trailer, which tells you nothing btw; however, the film, especially the 16th level, gets pushed instead of jumping whole-heartedly. If they grounded things in the character more, it would have had more potential, but it goes a bit stale to the genre for the sake of the genre. Cinematography is average, leaning toward poor. Acting is decent. Directing is decent. The project just needed another month in development to give the script a more snap punch. The concept and relevancy makes it worth watching, but don't expect anything too special.

The movie keeps you guessing till the end. It’s a slow burning thriller, no jump scares or action. But more so a psychological thriller.
