Description

Ariel, the fun-loving and mischievous mermaid, is enchanted with all things human. Disregarding her father’s order to stay away from the world above the sea, she swims to the surface and, in a raging storm, rescues the prince of her dreams. Determined to be human, she strikes a bargain with the devious sea witch Ursula and trades her fins and beautiful voice for legs. With her best friend, the adorable and chatty Flounder, and her reluctant chaperone Sebastian, the hilarious, reggae-singing Caribbean crab, at her side, Ariel must win the prince’s love and save her father’s kingdom — all in a heart-pounding race against time.

I only purchased this movie because when I selected it, it showed that I didn’t own it. So I bought it only to discover that I DO already own it! Why the eff do you think I need two? Why make it so complicated for the consumer? This seems like a really shady move by iTunes.

While I already own this on digital and can still play my content from my personal library I’m disappointed they didn’t add the new bonus stuff to my file when I’m such a loyal customer! I’m also afraid of having my old content erased such as the three language tracks from the other edition once I buy TLM again.
  • No offense Ariel...

This is setting a bad precedent for licensed films and studios pressure to hit sales targets.

this is the exact same as I bought a year ago. the only difference is a few extras that maybe add up to 30 minutes or more. I have two movies in my library now. I dont know why disney or apple can just update the ones who purchased this before. There are some movies that get automatically updated to 4k or with just updated with the extras. Dont spend your money and spend your money on a totally new disney movie
  • Beautiful mermaid, A bit slow, but far from horrible

Don’t you love that beautiful mermaid, Ariel? She’s pretty and stands out like other Disney Princess such as Jasmine from Aladdin. I like Flounder, he’s cute and a little frantic at times, too. Sebastian the crab, he adds some good humor and sings a cool Caribbean song called, Under the Sea. Scuttle the seagull, he is another character that makes me crack up! The villainies, Ursula is usually terrifying with her evil laugh, and when she takes away Ariel’s voice before changing her into a human, but only for 3 days. This movie even has some sad and sinister scenes that are not appropriate for young children. Such as Ariel’s dad being transformed into a slug creature, and the villain changing herself into a giant growing more scary, especially her look and voice! She even steals King Triton, Ariel’s Dads triton after she turns him into a slug creature. After Ursula dies, all of the slug creatures turn back into mermaids, and so does King Triton. The animation in this movie is better than the animation in Oliver & Company, but not better than the animation in Aladdin, or The Lion King. I found the plot to be a little slow at times, but overall, pretty good for the most part.
