Description

From the imagination of Wizarding World creator J.K. Rowling comes the Fantastic Beasts film series, magical adventures set before the time of Harry Potter. At the end of the first film, the powerful Dark wizard Gellert Grindelwald (Johnny Depp) was captured by MACUSA (Magical Congress of the United States of America), with the help of Newt Scamander (Eddie Redmayne). But, making good on his threat, Grindelwald escaped custody and has set about gathering followers, most unsuspecting of his true agenda: to raise pure-blood wizards up to rule over all non-magical beings. In an effort to thwart Grindelwald’s plans, Albus Dumbledore (Jude Law) enlists his former student Newt Scamander, who agrees to help, unaware of the dangers that lie ahead. Lines are drawn as love and loyalty are tested, even among the truest friends and family, in an increasingly divided wizarding world.

  • An unnecessary and pointless sequel

Why did they make a sequel to a movie that didn’t require it from the start. And even if it did, this is a terrible movie. Nothing in this movie makes sense and it all starts to take its toll soon right after it’s opening. Why is J. K. Rowling changing everything about the lore of the Harry Potter franchise for all the wrong reasons? This movie definitely killed the franchise for me and I hope it can rest in peace for what it was worth. A solid saga with not a single bad movie it and a decent stand-alone film in the same universe.

WTH? The first movie in this series was good, but I can't believe the direction of this sequel. I didn't understand the plot of this film and it was all over the place. Highly disappointed.

This movie was so boring. The storyline was a mess. I think Johnny Depp was playing Billy Idol. I will never get the time back I spent watching this steaming pile. I wish I had a wand to make this movie disappear.

All of the charm of Harry Potter is gone. This movie is all plot and its not even interesting! It was painful to get through this movie. There were a couple of interesting CGI scenes but that’s literally it. Even the most die hard Harry Potter fans should skip this

I’m not a Harry Potter watcher or fan but I did enjoy the first FB movie as it was very good. This one never gets to the point and a lot is going on at the same time with no real understanding of what the story teller is trying to explain. The title clearly doesn’t fit the movie content cause it’s main character was everyone else. I started falling asleep as it drug along like getting beatin with a bag of oranges. I was so lost on in this movie because nothing made sense and the ending was really really bad without any suspense that will make me want to watch the 3rd movie. They could’ve condense this movie to one hour and then get to the crimes and fights but instead they give you a lot of pointless dribble that never develops into a story. When it ended I felt like they stole 2 hours and some change from my life I’ll never get back. Watch if you dare but will say if your a scatter brain then you may enjoy it.

One of the best movies I’ve ever seen. I am a Harry Potter fan that sets good expectations for movies and books by JK Rowling, though a little dispointed I loved Fantastic Beast and the Crimes of Grindelwald.

Wandweing, disconnected storyline, weak ending... obviously a 'tween' filler for another movie. Note to author: when it becomes all about the money you loose the fans.
