A shocking revelation turns a teenage boy's world upside down in this chilling look at the evil that can lurk below even the most wholesome surface. Tyler Burnside (Charlie Plummer) is a Boy Scout, a volunteer at his local church, and the dutiful son of an upstanding, community leader dad (Dylan McDermott). Only one thing troubles the quiet Kentucky town he lives in: the unsolved murders—in which ten women were brutally tortured and killed by a psychopath known as Clovehitch—that rocked the community more than a decade ago. When Tyler discovers a cache of disturbing images in his father's possession, he begins to suspect that the man he trusts most in the world may be Clovehitch—and that his deadly rampage may not be over. With unrelenting tension, director Duncan Skiles crafts a picture-perfect vision of the all-American family—and then piece by piece rips it to shreds.

The Clovehitch Killer is captivating. It snags you through the fresh perspective of a boy unraveling his father’s secrets. As the tension culminates, the story surprises you. It is an excellent screenplay and by far the most intense movie I’ve seen in a long time.
  • Eh

DM was good at being creepy in this but it was boring. Lost interest and never got it back.
  • A new idea...a thriller without suspense!

    By MajesticLobster
This film breaks new ground by crafting a serial killer film without the burden of suspense or good dialogue.
  • This movie checked all the boxes

Christianty: Awful, but a pefect cover for a serial killer. Scouts: Horrible, judgmental and focused primarily on guns, but, provides a perfect cover for a serial killer. Marriage: Useless, artificial, a total lie, but a perfect cover for a serial killer. America and it's Flag: Symbolic of the birth of madness & depravity and deceit. But hey....well you know what it provides. Thats right, a perfect cover for serial killers. As if all of this weren't enough, all of the aforementioned make it impossible to have a tender loving relationship. Instead, they only breed perverse depraved misanthropy. Yes, I am beginning to see now how truly crappy Amercia is. I get it!
  • Best Horror/Thriller in awhile.

Kept me interested the whole movie and there were little twists throughout. We need more content like this in the Horror/Thriller world. Films nowadays are getting boring and repetitive. Rent or buy you will not be dissappointed.
  • Not bad but could of been better

  • Was good .. Don’t watch with kids.

This movie entertained me. Good performances. Good suspense. I would not recommend watching with kids or young teenagers as it’s pretty graphic - as in brutality and sexual issues.
  • Loved it! But why can’t I buy it on iTunes?

  • Great movie.

McDermott was unrecognizable and scary good. [Spoiler] Only knock, the ending would have been ten times cooler if someone called his Mom “Lucky” at the end of the son’s speech.
