Was Redford the old man or the gun? That’s how little this held my attention.

I enjoyed the movied a lot. Its good for me if I feel I got my money's worth for the time I gave to it. It gave me plenty of satisfaction. I hear that Mr. Redford has decided to retire from acting after this one. Just want to say, 'Thanks Robert Redford'.... I've never been in your life, but you've been in mine since the 60's...

Fist robbery with Butch Cassidy and the juxtaposition was w0nderfully done. A nice film- what twists we see when we get old.

This is an enjoyable film with well executed acting and a creative storyline. We felt it was worth the rental. The poor reviews below may have been from viewers with expectations of an action flick or the pace & sequencing of a modern superhero movie (understandable with their current popularity); however, if you enjoyed movies like Butch Cassidy & The Sundance Kid, Unforgiven (Eastwood), and Gran Torino (Eastwood) with slow developing stories then you may enjoy this one. If this is indeed Robert Redford's swan song then we wish him all the best. Nicely done and thanks for the years of entertainment. Break a leg.

Not quite sure why this movie has such high reviews. It is mediocre, at best. It seems like a lot of this is the nostaglia factor, or because Robert Redford is in it? I really like Redford and Sissy Spacek, and Butch Cassidy is one of my favorite movies, but this film is simply not very good. The entire film is Redford being snarky and clever, it gets old after ten minutes. If there was not a high-profile cast to carry this movie, it would be completely ignored.

Maybe .99cent rental I'd recommend, just for pure mindless nothing else to rent kind of night. Very slow and really not well acted movie. The preview is all you need to see.
  • Negative Reviews Are Misleading

All of the negative reviews I am seeing sound like they came from ignorant individuals who didn’t read up on the movie beforehand and had no clue what to expect so they just expected it to be as action packed as a movie like Mission Impossible. To clarify, this is a delightful, low key film that severs as a beautiful swan song to a legendary actor. It was not meant to be action pack nor made for people who only waste their time watching blockbusters. This film is made for individuals who enjoy independent films and are able to enjoy the beauty and subtleness of a film.

Watching this film made me think of all of the great movies that Redford, Spacek, and Glover have done over the years. This isn't one of them. I watched it because this is supposed to be Redford's last film. The writing is so bad. So very bad. The whole time, I just thought it has to get better. It never did. Don't waste your time.
