A daredevil photographer, an aspiring swimsuit model, and a midwest girl next door are all looking for the same things from their Instagram account–a little love, acceptance and of course fame. And they’ll do just about anything to get it. With an observational eye, Social Animals peeks into the digital and real worlds of today’s image-focused teenager, where followers, likes and comments mark success and self worth.

It was okay. Didn't bring anything new to the table. Casting was okay.... It looks good, but just lacked ooomppf. Not worth the rental price.

The first time I watched it I found myself gripped to every part of each story! It has very good points concerning the positives and negatives of Instagram and just social media in general, I would highly recommend!

Impressed by the depth and thoughtfulness of how it approached the social media landscape. Definitely brought a human/raw look into a platform known for self-promotion. I’d definitely recommend it as this is an important topic that affects all of us. Worth the watch.

I heard about this documentary film because it premiered at the SXSW film festival and made some waves there. It's a really fascinating look at what it's like to be a kid today growing up with Instagram. It's a very well made and I would highly recommend watching! Great for a family viewing over the holidays.
