Description

Written and directed by Jonah Hill, Mid90s is a funny, moving look at Stevie, a thirteen-year-old in '90s-era L.A. who meets a new group of friends at a local skate shop. They introduce him to an exciting world hidden in the parks and streets of the city — and offer a distraction from his turbulent home life. A film about the friendships that define us, Mid90s shows that sometimes we find our true family in the most unlikely of places.

I thoroughly enjoyed this movie. The soundtrack was good, it made me feel something and it was nostalgic to the time I was obsessed with “skater boys”. It is an accurate representation of a good amount of people in the skate community at that time and for quite a while after. I don’t care what these old white “veteran” skaters say. It was good.

The movie was only painful to watch because I paid for it. It was ok, not a masterpiece by any means. I don’t think it will be like Napoleon Dynamite where it grows on you. It’s so so. Wait for it to be free to watch.

I never review, but this was just horrible. I was so excited that it was finally being offered on a rental. It took me a ridiculous amount of time to download, but I was determined! That was till it started, within the first 10 minutes it was awful. I watched 50% of it on fast forward. Just blah. I’d like my $5.99 back!

For the most part. This movie caught the essence of the best years of my childhood life. And the 90z hip hop really set it off. Good job, Mr. Hill.

I really enjoyed this movie. Everyone has problems at home and this movie shows how what happens behind closed doors effects our actions outside.

Jonah Hill seems to borrow from movies I have seen before but clearly he has learned from the best .
