Smart, fun, and well acted while pulling off dark humor aka similar in tone to heathers.

  • Ugh

Non-believable characters, a plot line from a bad episode of Columbo, and a movie that can't figure out if it's a drama or comedy, andn ends up failing at both. Save your $, spend it on anything better than this dud.

This was a great mystery movie with lots of twists and turns. It also had some great comedy moments. I was hooked from beginning to end.

  • Had to watch it a few times . . .

First time I watched it things went off the rails after the mystery begins. I think a lot gets thrown at you so fast that you miss it, and once I rewatched parts of it a few times it became more cohesive. I got this because I'm a huge Anna K fan but Lively is surprisingly good in this role. Whoever okay'd the last 90 seconds needs to say they're sorry.
  • Nancy Drew comes to life? Or did she do it?

Loved it. Early on, I figured out one major plot twist in the mystery and thought I'd be disappointed for knowing that piece already, but it was wildly entertaining with several unexpected twists after that. Great cast. Fun and somehow lighthearted despite the murder plot. Rise of the smart, observant, detail-oriented good girl? Sequel!
