An epic adventure set in the last Ice Age. Europe, 20,000 years ago. While on his first hunt with his tribe’s most elite group, a young man is injured and left for dead. Awakening to find himself broken and alone -- he must learn to survive and navigate the harsh and unforgiving wilderness. Reluctantly taming a lone wolf abandoned by its pack, the pair learn to rely on each other and become unlikely allies, enduring countless dangers and overwhelming odds in order to find their way home before the deadly winter arrives.

  • Weak plot, character and storyline

Avoid! Very unrealistic in every way. I don't think the writer is a hunter nor a comper.

This is a synthetic and romanticized representation of the pivotal event that led to the enduring collaboration between humans and canines. The early Cromagnon humans depicted in this film possess an amazing repertoire of words and many appear to have porcelain veneers and excellent dentition. These discrepancies aside, I found this to be an interesting and enjoyable film, in the spirit of Old Yeller. B+
  • Wonderful movie 💜

I loved this movie. It has an interesting storyline, has a good amount of action sequences & also touches the heart in many ways. Yes, maybe it veers from reality in some respects, but then again, how do we really know what happened way back 20,000 years ago in Europe? I enjoyed this movie & found the wolf & young man interaction very true to life. Shows true wolf behavior & a thoroughly believable transformation in how wolf becomes man’s/woman’s best friend. Of course, I’m a longtime dog lover & have shared my life with several dogs & was fully engaged in the movie. Yes, I cried at the end, but not tears of sadness. For me, Alpha is a very true & poignant tale 💜💜💜

This is a good concept for a movie but their is only closed captioning! None makes sense without them.
