Expect the unexpected in Boots Riley’s directorial debut, Sorry to Bother You — an outrageously surreal look at capitalism, corporate greed, and fractured workplace dynamics. In an alternate present-day version of Oakland, California, struggling telemarketer Cassius Green (Lakeith Stanfield) discovers a magical key to professional success, which propels him into a macabre universe.

This was the worst movie ever. The previews were not that great but the movie beat them. I found myself incredibly bored part way in as there really isn’t a story or anything humorous.

This movie starts out like any other movie(which is not bad thing). A good and understandable main character with a realistic problem and friends, family and so on. But it takes a very sudden turn from the realistic genre which many people tend not to like. For me it was an okay plot twist but it gave me a foreseeable ending which made me shake my head in disbelief as it played out in front of me. Overall this movie could have played out the main villain better with his motives but in my opinion decent movie.
  • Didn’t leave me feeling good at the end

It was good, but the main characters life just spiraled down hill as the movie went on. I know the whole story had a deeper meaning and all that, but about 3/4 of the way through the movie, I wasn’t really left feeling happy. Also, there was this weird twist towards the end (like very weird) and then I was unhappy and confused. Trying to not spoil the movie if you still want to watch it. Ok, it wasn’t bad, and the script/plot were great in fact, but after the movie ended, I was let-down, confused, unhappy, etc. So...see it if you want, but you might have the same experience as me...or you might not, who knows

This movie was so weird. Not sure what I expected but about halfway through I was ready to turn it off when the horse people appeared. HUH? Then I started laughing. OMG!!!!! I know there's a lesson here, but I just wound up throughly enjoying the film. Unique, weird and pretty darned hysterical!!!!

What an incredible, revelatory film! Boots is on fire as are all the performances. It literally exists within its own category. The only comparable film, in scope, impact and inventiveness - not to mention timeliness - would be Repo Man (maybe). Reading through the semi-literate negative reviews is further proof of what an extraordinary achievement this wholly original provocative masterpiece is. I'd recommend reading nothing about it, maybe don't even watch the preview. Just sit back and experience something wild, original, intelligent and REAL for a change. Epic! Hands down the best film of 2018! BRAVO!!

Glad I own this one so I can rewatch and catch all the little things I missed the first time. It has a strange third act that I don’t want to ruin. Imagine a really long black mirror episode and if that sounds appealing then you’ll probably enjoy this film.

Straight disgusting I hated the movie I watched it I thought it would be something a little like Sicario 2 but a comedy version with the mafia and he got in trouble with the boss and he was coming after him and his girlfriend and friends but NO! It turn into a disgusting piece of trash movie and DONT RECOMMEND NO ONE WATCH THIS!
