Starring Shailene Woodley (Fault in Our Stars, Divergent films) and Sam Claflin (Me Before You, The Hunger Games films), ADRIFT is based on the inspiring true story of two sailors who set out to journey across the ocean from Tahiti to San Diego. Tami Oldham (Woodley) and Richard Sharp (Claflin) couldn’t anticipate they would be sailing directly into one of the most catastrophic hurricanes in recorded history. In the aftermath of the storm, Tami awakens to find Richard badly injured and their boat in ruins. With no hope for rescue, Tami must find the strength and determination to save herself and the only man she has ever loved. ADRIFT is the unforgettable story about the resilience of the human spirit and the transcendent power of love.

This movie is so good! Actors do fantastic!
  • If you’re into sailing, you’ll love this

I actually watched this by myself and again with my girlfriend. It’s a very entertaining movie and combines a love story with a survival story on the seas. While I would have liked to see a bit more of how they got into the stormy situation, I still think this was a much better movie than the review score it’s currently getting. Enjoy!

Okay movie. Predictable twist in my opinion.
  • Movie should be called “Most confusing use of flashbacks”

    By 747whaledriver
There was a lot of good things about this movie, but the incoherent, illogical choices of flashback tidbits detracted from the film. Otherwise, it was a helluva ride. Scary – and I’m a blue-water sailor.

I did not like this film! The flash backs were so screwed up I thought I was losing my mind! I wish I would have known the ending before I rented it .
  • Acting and story not that great

Something was a bit too romanticized about this story, maybe because it was adapted from a true story, but still it felt a little forced to tell a big story. I just felt like something wasn’t connecting me to the characters as much as feeling like a forced story adapted around a true story. Maybe that’s the directors and the actors fault. I wish I cared much more about the characters than I did.
  • An amazing story!

Such an intense film beginning to end, it’s amazing this is a true story. Still need to read the book.
  • Don't Like Trickery

    By brslc
The story is not strong enough to make a movie about so they use trickery to make it go three full acts. Not my kind of movie. I'd have passed if I had known.
