Chronicling the adventures of an eccentric, resilient, tight-knit family, THE GLASS CASTLE is a remarkable story of unconditional love. Oscar winner Brie Larson brings Jeannette Walls's best-selling memoir to life as a young woman who, influenced by the joyfully wild nature of her deeply dysfunctional father (Woody Harrelson), found the fiery determination to carve out a successful life on her own terms.

Great book ,great movie!!!! I’ve been very moved by a great and talented cast !!!! Every one played very well . I really liked it.
  • Good on it’s own, nothing like the book.

I love the cast and the movie on its own would be fine, but following the book; it’s just too far off. Parts are inner twined and changed, much too much is left out; and the book lends a much better light into how hard of a life the Walls kids had, where he movie really makes light of that.
  • So happy!

I will always love the book. However, the movie is just as amazing! I was so happy when I saw who the actresses and actors were. Well done!

I have read the book 3 times and finally got around to watching the movie. It was different from the book in many ways, but was still well worth the watch. Will watch it again someday soon!

  • Oscar level acting

Great acting in this intense movie. This movie takes you away from everything for 2 hours and is able to make a better person out of you as it has so many moments that make you reflect on your own life. Brilliant!
  • Awesome

Awesome movie. Great characters and a true story. Well done - and touching.
  • Not what I expected

From the trailer it looked like a fun movie to watch with my granddaughter. However I was wrong. This movie should be rated R. There was heavy drug & alcohol usage plus kids getting abused. There was many times where child services should have been called. It was a good movie, well done but overall not a movie to see with kids.
  • Screw Rotten Tomatoes

If the critics actually read the book, they would realize what a terrific rendition this movie was. The real tragedy is that Woody Harrelson was not or is not nominated for an oscar. His best performance to date. The movie touches the heart as the book did.
